India further extended their dominance at the 2026 Asian Games as Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikhitha Taniparthi, and Prithika Pradeep won India’s latest gold medal at Asian Games 2026 by finishing at the top in the women’s compound team archery event in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The Indian threesome bagged the gold after edging past China 238-234 in the final. In the process, the team equalled the world-record score in the competition.

Strong run to final
India last made it to the final after fighting out a narrow semi-final win against South Korea. Indian team narrowly beat South Korea 234-233 to reach a gold-medal clash with China. During the earlier qualification rounds, the three players also performed well. They had posted a combined 2,099 to tie China in a blazing final round.
