Aus vs Eng: Steve Smith available for 2nd ODI, as he passes concussion test

Australia’s star batsman Steve Smith passed the second ‘Concussion’ Test on Saturday, and he got the green signal to play in the second ODI against England on Sunday.

Smith, 31, suffered a head injury during the practice sessions, which prevented him from playing the first ODI. Australia won that match by 19 runs. On the eve of the match, he received a head injury during a throw from the coaching staff during practice.

According to cricket.com au, Smith, the world’s number one Test batsman, has passed both concussion tests, which were done on Friday and Saturday. He was out of the first match as a precaution.

“Steve Smith has passed two concussion tests as he looks to return to the Australian side to face England on Sunday,” cricket.com.au tweeted

He will be back in the second game and take up his number three position. Australian team suffered a tragic loss when it came for the delivery from the top order and they lost 5 wickets in a quick succession until Maxwell and Marsh came in with their tremendous partnership.
