BBL 2022: Marcus Stonis, an all-around player for the Melbourne Stars, blazed through the Adelaide Oval on Saturday during the Big Bash League (BBL) with an outstanding display of powerhitting. With four sixes off of one over against Adelaide Strikers speedster Henry Thornton, Stoinis finished the year with a superb performance at the plate.

Marcus Stoinis hits four maximum in one over
Thornton's day's spell were completely destroyed when the Australian right-hander muscled the ball out of the park for an astounding 29 runs off only one over. Following an initially promising three-over spark, the Strikers' seamer had a terrible encounter with the Stars' death-overs beast in the 18th over and finished with a spell of 2/46.
However, Stoinis had no regretas he ruthlessly destroyed the fast bowler who had missed his mark horribly for the over. Every time Thornton failed to pull the trigger on his yorker, Marcus Stonis cruelly punished him with the utmost. Marcus Stoinis got well under an attempted yorker from Thornton and duly unleashed his downswing on it, resulting in the first six being ruthlessly blasted to the deep mid-wicket area.

The subsequent one was an exact replica of the first, delivered to the corner once more with the right-arm pacer throwing with his full-pitcher. Stoinis didn't waste any time knocking the ball away to score another run. In another instance of Thornton utterly missing his target for the yorker, the next hit saw Stoinis reach the long-off boundary, which is regarded to be the longest stretch of the Adelaide Oval.
For the final six, Stoinis swung a little wider to his favourite deep mid-wicket area, capping off a spectacular string of four sixes in an over that resulted in an eye-catching 29 runs for the Stars under their total.
Marcus Stoinis, 33, contributed to the Stars' imposing 186/7 total by hitting six maximums and five fours in total during his sensational 74 off just 35 deliveries, carrying a mind-blowing strike rate of 211.42. The Stars batted first, and Stoinis helped them post a massive total.
