The Indian team will play three ODIs and as many T20 Internationals in Sri Lanka from July 13 to 25. Broadcaster Sony announced the schedule of the limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka via social media.
Indian team is currently in England, as they will they face New Zealand in the finals of the World Test Championship and later they will also face England in August.
Players who are on England tour will not be part of the Sri Lankan tour. Many young players can get a chance on the team for the tour of Sri Lanka.
Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and Hardik Pandya are in the race for captaincy. At the same time, if Shreyas Iyer becomes fully fit, he can also be an option for captaincy.
The ODIs will take place on July 13, 16, and 18 while the T20Is will be played on July 21, 23, and 25. The venues for the games are yet to be announced. Meanwhile, the Virat Kohli-led Test team is already in the UK for the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand from June 18. After this, Team India will take on England in a five-match series starting on August 4.
