BCCI may organise a farewell match for MS Dhoni in IPL

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian team, surprised everyone with a sudden retirement from international cricket. Since Dhoni’s decision, his fans are very disappointed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is all set to host a Farewell match for Dhoni in this years’ IPL. A BCCI official said that the board will convey MS Dhoni in this matter during the upcoming IPL and then decide the future schedule accordingly.

“There is no international series at the moment, maybe after the IPL we will see what can be done, because Dhoni has done a lot for the country and he deserves this honor,” the official said. We always wanted a Farewell match for him, but Dhoni is a different player, when he announced his retirement no one thought about it.

Asked if Dhoni has said anything about it so far, the official said, “No, but definitely we will talk to him during the IPL and this will be the right place to get his opinion about the match or series.” Well, there will be a proper honor ceremony for him whether he agrees or not, it will be an honor for us to honor him.

Madan Lal said, ‘I would be really happy if the BCCI organizes the match for Dhoni. He is a great player and you cannot let him go like that, his fans would like to see him in action again. Madan Lal said, “The IPL is happening in the UAE and everyone will stick to their screens to watch them play, but the board can also host a series in India so that people can watch them live at the stadium.”
