BCCI Top Performer 2022: Though, year 2022 has not been very fruitful for BCCI in terms of ICC events. Men in Blue have failed to win any ICC trophy since the year 2013. However, there were many striking performances this year which made the name of team India galore at the world stage. BCCI has also released a list of four players who performed their best in limited-over format. The players include a batsman and bowler from each of the format.

BCCI Top Performer 2022 in ODIs:

In ODI cricket this year, Shreyas Iyer dominated the batting. Iyer averaged 55.69 runs per game this year while scoring 724 runs for India. Apart from this, he also scored one century and six half-centuries. At the same time, Mohammad Siraj made a big bowling impression. In 15 games, Siraj took 24 wickets with an staggering economy of 4.62.

BCCI Top Performer 2022 in T20Is:

Surya Kumar Yadav completely dominated the batting this year in the shortest format of game i.e. T20I. Additionally, he also got the top spot in the T20 rankings. Surya Kumar Yadav amassed 1164 runs at an average of 46.56 in 31 games. This year in T20I, he hit two century and nine half-centuries. He is the first Indian to ever reach that milestone in T20 cricket. In 32 games, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 37 wickets with an economy of 6.98.

India will begin their next series against Sri Lanka on January 3rd with Hardik Pandya taking on as the skipper. Senior players such as Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Rohit Sharma were rested for the series. However, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are still not available for the selection due to their respective injuries. Also, senior batters will take on from the ODI series against Sri Lanka which is scheduled to begin from 10th of January.
