Bumrah becomes fastest Indian pacer to reach 100 Test wicket mark

Jasprit Bumrah has become the fastest Indian pacer to reach at the milestone of 100 Test wickets.

The right-arm pace bowler, who took two early wickets in England’s first innings on Day 1 of the ongoing fourth Test to get to 99 scalps, had to wait till the fifth day to reach the milestone in his 24th Test match.

He bowled a brilliant yorker to dismiss Jonny Bairstow in the final innings of the match.

Bumrah made his Test debut in 2018 when India toured South Africa for 3-match Test series.

He averages just over 17 while bowling in the fourth innings.

Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, Javagal Srinath, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav Karsan Ghavri and Irfan Pathan are the other Indian pacers to have picked 100 wickets in Test cricket.
