Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has bee going through a lean phase in international cricket as the star batter hasn’t scored a single ton in last two years.
This happened after a long since Kohli revival in 2014.
The year 2021 was also not good for Kohli as captain. Despite his marvellous achievement in Test cricket, the Indian captain failed to take the team in the final four of the T20 World Cup.
He decided to quit the captaincy in the shortest format of the game in September following which he was removed as India ODI skipper in December.
Rohit Sharma was named as India’s new limited-over captain.
Year 2022, is full of challenges for Kohli where in the month of January he can become the first Indian captain to win a Test series in South Africa as the Asian side lead 1-0 in the three-match Test against the Proteas after winning the first Test in Centurion.
Kohli as a batter has lot more to show up in the year that will have a T20 World Cup in one of his most favourite place–Australia.
