COVID positive Sachin Tendulkar says, ‘Hospitalised under Medical advice

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has been hospitalised and hopes to be back home in the coming few days after his fight from the COVID-19.

“Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone. Wishing all Indians & my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup win,” Tendulkar tweeted on Friday.

The 47-years-old has earlier tested positive for COVID-19 after being a part of the Road Safety World Series tournament as part of India Legends. India Legends won the tournament but four of their top players Sachin Tendulkar, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, S Badrinath had tested positive for the coronavirus.

“I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay,” he said.

“However, I’ve tested positive following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative. I’ve quarantined myself at home and am following all the necessary protocols as advised by my doctor.”

Sachin Tendulkar is the most successful cricketer with 15,921 Test runs and 18,426 ODI runs he is at the top when it comes to the most run-scorers list. His record of 100 centuries in international cricket is still a dream of many international players.
