Cricket Viral Video: S Sreesanth, who was renowned for his skill with both swing and seam bowling during his international cricket career, turned back the hands of time on October 3, at the Legends Cricket League 2022 with a magnificent ball.
Sreesanth sends stumps flying
Sreesanth sent Tillakaratne Dilshan's off-stump spinning to send back the former Sri Lankan for 36 runs during the second qualifying match between the Gujarat Giants and the Bhilwara Kings at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. After Chris Gayle and Parthiv Patel were dismissed early, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Yashpal Singh formed an outstanding partnership for the third wicket before Sreesanth made the breakthrough.
A delivery from the pacer hit Dilshan in the back and sent the off-stump spinning. Dilshan attempted an extravagant hoick across the line but completely missed the ball, rattling his stumps. The right-arm quick pitched one on length outside off and got it seam into him. In a stroke-heavy 26-ball 36, Dilshan had hit five fours and a six.
After defeating Gujarat Giants by six wickets in their elimination game, the Bhilwara Kings punched their ticket to the Legends League Cricket finals. Thanks to William Porterfield's 60-run top-order performance and Shane Watson's 48-run undefeated innings, Kings were able to reach their 197-run goal. With two wickets for 28 runs in four overs, Sreesanth was the Kings' favourite bowler. Despite dismissing Stuart Binny and Tilakratene Dilshan, the former Indian cricketer's dismissal of the Sri Lankan opener stunned everyone.
