Cricket Viral Video: Well, there are some runouts and then there are some crazy runouts. During 2019, in the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI) at Headingley in Leeds, England's Adil Rashid executed a stunning run-out against Pakistan.
The incident took place as Pakistan was chasing a massive 352 run target while they were in the 27th over of their innings. With skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed at the other end, Babar had 80 runs off 83 balls. Sarfaraz attempted to take a quick single after pushing one to the leg side but decided against it.
Jos Buttler, the wicketkeeper, promptly picked up the ball and sent it towards the bowler, but by that point, Babar had arrived in the middle of the pitch. Rashid picked up the ball and performed an amazing no-look run out before Babar could get back. As Pakistan was heading in the right direction and Babar was playing beautifully, the dismissal gave the game to England. Fans were quick to notice and compare it with MSD’s version.
Ultimately, Pakistan was bowled out for 297 runs, dropping the game by 54 runs. Due to the rain-washed out first ODI, the tourists also dropped the five-match series by a score of 4-0. Prior to the ODI series, Pakistan also lost the lone T20I match they played against England.
