Cricket Viral Video: In a Ford Ranger Cup match between New South Wales Blues and South Australian Redbacks, NSW batsman Grant Lambert was at the crease with a score of 4 runs off 5 balls. With Steven O’Keefe as his batting partner, the match was in its 49th over and the team’s score was 253/6, when this funny incident occurred.
Batsman gets into brainfade moment
As Shaun Tait prepared to bowl, Lambert, who was the tail-ender, had the intention to become more aggressive and increase the team’s total.
However, what happened next was unexpected. Lambert attempted to create some space for himself and moved aside, possibly with the intention of hitting a big shot. But, he stepped too far, leaving all three stumps fully visible.
Tait had ample time to observe Lambert’s movements, so he bowled a full toss that swung in the air and hit the middle stump without any obstacle. The batsman was left to watch helplessly as the ball knocked down his stumps. He stood there, seemingly frozen in place.

Tait couldn’t help but to smile at this easy wicket, as Lambert made his way back to the dressing room. This dismissal added another victim to Tait’s tally, who already had three wickets in the match. This serves as a reminder that some batsmen can find peculiar ways of getting dismissed, making them look silly.
