Cricket Viral Video: Run-outs are probably one of the worst ways to get dismissed in cricket. Just when you anticipate getting to the crease to finish a run, a direct hit knocks you out of the game. Runouts have also historically been one of, if not the most absurd, ways to get dismissed.

We have seen a number of hilarious run-outs over the years, and the European Cricket League has added one of the craziest to the list. In order to get W Afridi get a runout during an ECS Malta match between Overseas Cricket and Swieqi United, Arslan Ahmed headed the ball in the manner of a football player.

Heinrich Gericke, the batter in the strike zone, drove the ball towards the off-side, where it bounced up high and struck Ahmed because he misread a straightforward stop. However, as soon as the ball struck Ahmed in the head, a teammate of his sprinted after it when it rebounded, grabbed it, and delivered a fine direct throw to dismiss Gericke for 44 runs in 20 balls.

Back to the game: Overseas Cricket scored a whopping 104 runs in their ten overs thanks to Heinrich Gericke's excellent effort. Pieter Lourens also batted exceptionally well, adding 17 runs in just six balls, joining Gericke in the top spot. As a result of scoring only 89 runs in their ten overs in the second innings, Swieqi United were unable to attain the required total.
