Cricket Viral Video: The run out of Jonny Bairstow was one of the biggest controversies of Ashes 2023. The English batsman stepped out of the crease after ducking the ball and did not even realize that Carey had run him out.
The incident created a lot of stir worldwide with even the media getting involved. Even the president of Australia mocked Rishi Sunak for the incident during their meeting. But one person who did not find it funny was none other than Jonny Bairstow.
The wicketkeeper was fuming and was really angry at the incident. He did not come out publicly and stated his anger but an interview with the Australia team after the series made it pretty evident.
Cricket Viral Video: Warner Mocked Bairstow
It is a ritual in Lord’s Cricket Ground where both teams have to eat lunch together. During an interview with 7cricket, Australian players revealed what happened at lunch after that runout. They stated that Bairstow was fuming and SkySports played the replay of run out at the same time.
Jonny saw the replay, got even angrier, and asked the Australian players “Are you guys happy with that?” David Warner who was eating chicken spitted it out and just said “Yes, Very” and the whole Australian team started giggling.
Mitch Marsh even had his pumpkin soup drooling out of his mouth. While the other Australian players were just laughing and Jonny could only see his shoulders puckering with their heads down.
England Players Having Fun
The interviewer asked whether any English player found it funny. Mitch Marsh replied with yes and stated that a few of them were laughing after Warner’s comments.
Usman Khawaja revealed in the end that Jonny was so angry that he did not eat anything at all. Everyone left but Jonny was still there in flames.
