Cricket Viral Video: For cricket players, getting out owing to a Mankad can be quite devastating. When a batter is lined up on the crease but must depart for the pavilion because of a simple error, the occurrence hurts considerably more. In a domestic game in Australia, a similar occurrence occurred when the hitter was disqualified and flung his bat in annoyance as he was returning to the dugout.

In a video posted on social media by an Australian media outlet, a bowler is shown pausing during his run-up and removing the bails after spotting the non-striking batsman leaving his crease. The batsman disagreed with the umpire's ruling even though it was made in accordance with the regulations. Although this method of dismissal, known as "Mankad," is legal, many people feel that it violates the rules of the game.
The event happened during Claremont and New Norfolk's game. Claremont needed to score 263 runs, and the batter Kaye had hit three sixes in 43 runs off 55 balls. However, they came to a halt when New Norfolk vice-captain Harry Booth noticed the batter leaving his crease and removed the bails to run him out at the non-striker's end. The batter, Kaye, was visibly furious and tossed his helmet and bat towards the boundary despite the fact that the run-out was legal and his teammates objected to the call. The teammates were observed expressing their annoyance and disappointment about the ejection. The legality of a bowler running out a non-striking batsman for leaving the crease too soon has long been up for discussion in cricket. The International Cricket Council (ICC) changed the rules significantly last year, reclassifying this method of dismissal as a lawful "run out" as opposed to "unfair play."
