Cricket Viral Video: Ireland’s Unbelievable Cricket Chaos – A Dot Turns into Three on Bizarre Final Ball, Watch

Cricket Viral Video: During the T20 World Cup in 2021, a hilarious sequence of mistakes unfolded in Sharjah. Ireland managed to secure three runs off what initially appeared to be a dot ball in the last over of their innings against Namibia. People were left laughing in the stadium by seeing the incident.

Hilarious incident at the field

In a high-stakes virtual knockout match where the victor would secure a spot in the Super 12s, Namibia displayed signs of nervousness, leading to a rather unusual situation. They unexpectedely allowed Ireland to snatch three runs from what should have been a dot ball. In the final delivery of the innings, Simi Singh faced a slower delivery from David Wiese and attempted a risky single after mistiming his shot. Wiese, positioned to potentially execute a run-out at the striker’s end, struggled to make an accurate throw. Consequently, the ball slipped wide off the wicketkeeper’s gloves, resulting in an additional run being conceded.

Subsequently, Simi Singh and Craig Young capitalised on a moment of fielding confusion to complete a third run. The fielders gave a straightforward opportunity for a run-out as Simi was caught out of his crease. A throw from the wicketkeeper‘s end to the bowler’s end was inaccurate, and despite Simi being well behind the crease, Namibia missed out on a potential ninth wicket. The flawed throw allowed Ireland to secure an additional run, prompting disbelief among the on-air commentators.

Singh wisely held his position at the striker’s end until Young safely reached his ground. This strategic move minimised the chance of a dismissal at that end, leaving Singh engaged in a footrace with the ball to successfully complete the third run.
