Cricket Viral Video: The second Test of the 2019 Ashes series between England and Australia was playing at Lord’s on the fifth day when England fast bowler Jofra Archer delivered a fierce bouncer to Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne. The batsman’s helmet grill was directly struck by the 91.6 mph delivery.

Marnus Labuschagne fell on the crease

Labuschagne had just stepped in to bat in place of Usman Khawaja (2) when it all started on the fourth ball of the sixth over. The right-handed batsman had little chance against Archer’s bouncer, which was a first legal ball. Not just this, the batsman even fell down near the stumps as he was shaken b the pace of the ball.

It’s worth noting that if Labuschagne had been replaced by another batsman, the situation would have been the same. It says volumes about how difficult it would have been for him to handle such a run of quick bowling that he was included as injured Steve Smith’s substitute today. However, the reason it is described as cold moment is, that, batsman quickly rose to bat again while Ben Stokes could not even complete his reaction of saving himself. Marnus quickly did a gesture by hand while looking eye-to-eye on Archer.

Despite playing the last session of the game, Australia’s fourth innings target of 267 runs was a challenging one. The visitors showed a lot of control in the game while playing without Steven Smith, legendary batsman who was enjoying his peak form during that time. Eventually, the match got drawn as none of the team could complete the target i.e. neither by runs nor by wickets.
