Cricket Viral Video: KL Rahul has been one of the best batsman for India in the last decade. Though, he faced a dip in form in recent years but his performances have been nothing short of blockbuster earlier. In 2016, he once smacked a century in USA against West Indies in just 46 ball but the Men in Blue eventually lost the match by one run.

KL Rahul's blistering ton

On August 27, 2016, India and West Indies played the first Twenty20 international match of a 2-match series during the India-West Indies tour of the United States of America (USA). The match was played at Lauderhill in Florida.

In the first T20I match of the India-West Indies series, Indian opener batsman KL Rahul scored an impressive unbeaten 110 runs off just 51 balls. His innings included 12 fours and 5 sixes, and he had a strike rate of 215.68. However, despite Rahul's heroics, India fell just one run short of victory, managing 244-4 in their 20 overs. The West Indies had scored 245 in this high-scoring game.

During the India-West Indies T20I match, KL Rahul achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a century in just 46 balls, which tied for the joint second-fastest century in T20 internationals. He also broke the record for the fastest T20I century by an Indian batsman, previously held by Suresh Raina who achieved the feat in 59 balls against South Africa in Gros Islet in 2010.

He scored 110* in the match, however, on the last ball, two runs were required but MSD failed to got through and India lost the match by one run. Also, that was also the then-highest score by Indian batter in T20Is until it was broken by Virat Kohli in 2022.
