Son dismisses father on a golden duck

Former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq was struck out during this match on a golden duck by his son Ali. The former Pakistani international attempted to smash over covers a typical outside off-stump delivery that was given out by Junior Razzaq. However, he erred in his judgement and edged the ball right into the keeper's hands.

The newly formed team Mirpur Royals in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) season 2 attracted some media attention when Abdul Razzaq played. Ali's inclusion on the team was questioned since Razzaq chose him primarily on their relationship rather than his cricketing skills. In response to these complaints, Abdul Razzaq said Ali possesses the necessary talent to develop into a top player.

After that, Razzaq discussed his plans to help Ali develop into a star player for the upcoming campaign. The former cricketer said “"We have included him [Ali Razzaq] in emerging category so that he gets confidence. He has the potential to become a good cricketer. He also did well for the U19 side. I’m hopeful that this season will help him prepare for next year's tournament.”
