Umpire's Decision Sparks Captain's Anger in DPL Match

Shakib, the captain of Mohammedan Sporting Club, was initially incensed by the umpire's decision to reject his plea for a ruling of Mushfiqur Rahim to be given the wrongful beating during the game against Abahani Limited. The umpire's choice to remove the players from the pitch with one ball remaining in the sixth over as rain began to fall infuriated him.

Bangladesh All-Rounder Regrets Outburst in DPL Match

Later, in a statement posted to his Facebook page, Shakib expressed regret for his behaviour. "Dear readers and viewers, "I am extremely sorry for losing my temper and ruining the match for everyone and especially those who are watching from home. An experienced player like me should not have reacted that way but sometimes against all odds it happens unfortunately," he said.
