Cricket Viral Video: Cricket is a tremendously competitive sport, and players frequently troll each other and engage in mental gymnastics to gain the upper hand. When two evenly matched teams take the field, player brawls frequently make the news, but on Day 1 of the three-day day-and-night practise Test in Sydney during Decmeber 2020, Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj won over the crowd with his sportsmanship.
The Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj's gracious act of running to help competitor Cameron Green after the latter was struck on the head during the first day of the warm-up game was praised by the Australian media as the epitome of sportsmanship. Green made an attempt to collect a straight drive from Jasprit Bumrah off his own bowling, but the ball slipped through his fingers and struck him on the right side of the head.
Siraj instantly threw down his bat and ran to see how Green was doing. Bumrah followed his teammate in doing the same.
After suffering an injury, Green was later declared unfirt to continue the three-day pink warm-up match between the Indians and Australia's "A" team. The video is now getting increasingly popular. Netizens also praised Siraj's act as 'kind.' A user wrote, "Its good to see such sportsmanship." Another user wrote, "Siraj really won the heart over here." Meanwhile, a third user wrote "In the era of sledging, its good to see this."
