Cricket Viral Video: Asia Cup 2023 is just round the corner and people have already set high hopes from the Men in Blue as the wait for trophies has turned very longer. However, all eyes are set on Virat Kohli, who will once again be the leading batter for India. Fans are hoping for big knocks from his bat, however, many do not know that his highest ODI score came in Asia Cup itself when he slammed 183 against Pakistan.

Virat Kohli takes on Pakistan alone

During the Asia Cup of 2012, the tournament's fifth match took place in Mirpur between India and Pakistan. Pakistan set a target of 329 runs while batting first. In the process, Mohammad Hafeez contributed a score of 105, accompanied by Nasir Jamshed who accumulated 112 runs for the team. In reply, the Indian team effectively secured victory by losing only 4 wickets within 47.5 overs. Virat Kohli showcased resilient batting performance for India.

The start of India's pursuit of the target set by Pakistan encountered a setback as opener Gautam Gambhir departed for a duck. Subsequently, a commendable partnership unfolded between Sachin Tendulkar and Kohli. Tendulkar's innings concluded after amassing 52 runs from 48 deliveries. Meanwhile, Kohli continued his strong performance, scored an impressive 183 runs off 148 balls, embellished with 22 fours and a solitary six. Adding to the team's efforts, Rohit Sharma contributed 68 runs. This combined effort paved the way for India's triumph by 6 wickets.
