Cricket Viral Video: Back in 2012, a young and talented Virat Kohli captivated cricket fans with a remarkable century against Sri Lanka. The then 23-year-old Kohli's outstanding performance included a stunning 24-run over off Lasith Malinga, which helped India successfully chase down their target of 321 in just 40 overs.
At the time, India was participating in a tri-series tournament against Australia and Sri Lanka, and their performance leading up to this match had been less than stellar. However, they knew they needed to win this game to stay alive in the competition. When Sri Lanka posted a challenging total of 320 runs in their innings, the pressure was on India to deliver.
Kohli stepped up to the challenge and played one of the greatest ODI innings ever seen from an Indian batsman. Despite coming in to bat at 86-2 within the first ten overs, Kohli's masterful display of batting propelled India to a memorable victory.
Virat Kohli produced a number of astounding shots throughout his outstanding performance that astounded cricket fans. The 24-run over he scored off Lasith Malinga, though, was the most spectacular of them. The shots in this series featured a slick shot off his pads to get his century, a lofted six over deep mid-wicket, a breathtaking cover drive, and three excellent boundaries. India easily achieved their target, winning the match in just 37 overs as Kohli continued to score runs and remained unbeaten at 133.
While Kohli's magnificent century against Sri Lanka in 2012 was not enough to secure India a place in the final of the tri-series tournament, it did give cricket fans around the world an early glimpse of his incredible talent in the ODI format.
