Other times, a bad move might actually result in success. It's a fair game where anyone can make mistakes and even the best players can look foolish at times. A new video has gone viral online that shows a batter getting out in the most bizarre way possible.

The most bizarre dismissal ever?

Recently, a video from the past has reappeared on social media that might be one of the worst balls ever to take a wicket. This occurred during a National T20 cup match back in 2019. Mohammad Ilyas delivered a ball that was clearly off-target and should have been called a wide ball if the batter had left it alone.

However, the left-handed batter Zain Abbas attempted to hit a clever shot and ended up making a mistake by hitting the ball with the top of his bat, making it an easy catch for the wicketkeeper. The team erupted in celebration soon after. Although, the crowd was left surprised and confused as many could not understand what had happened.

Following the video's viral success on social media, James Neesham, a cricketer from New Zealand, also saw it it and affirmed that it was one of the worst deliveries in cricket history that resulted in a wicket.
