The Cricket Viral Video features the backstory of the decision that led us to lifting the World Cup 2011. Watch here.
Cricket Viral Video: When MS Dhoni decided to promote himself in the World Cup 2011 final was a world-beater. That decision alone changed the destiny of Indian cricket forever. It helped India reach heights like never before.
The Indian skipper at that time played a brilliant knock of 91 not out to help India lift the World Cup. We still see numerous videos of those final six that finally ended our country's 28-year-long drought of ultimate glory.
But you might not know the situations that led to that decision. Many factors led to that decision, and who better than Virender Sehwag to tell us about those situations? Let's find out the answer.
Virender Sehwag lost his wicket cheaply in the final. In the Cricket Viral Video, the former Indian opener tells Aparshakti Khurrana that he gave Gautam Gambhir enough time to get ready and even took DRS to prolong that time.
Gautam thought his batting would come after ten overs at least and did not get ready. He further tells why he spent the whole match in the dressing room and did not leave that area.
The Najafgarh King stated that he was sad after losing his wicket, but as soon as he overcame that sadness and was about to leave the dressing room, Sachin Tendulkar joined him. And then he had to mourn for Master Blaster's wicket as well.
He stated that Sachin Tendulkar did not let him leave the dressing room, and they prayed the entire time. That is when Tendulkar told Sehwag that the Indian team should replace the batsman according to their batting preferences.
This meant right-handed batsmen to be replaced by Right-handed batsmen and the same for left-handers. Sachin then relayed the message to the skipper, and after a long talk with Gary Kirsten, Dhoni started padding up. And as soon as Virat Kohli got out, the skipper took the field, and the rest is history.
