Cricket Viral Video: After the Vijay Hazare Trophy was a success, the Ranji Trophy 2022–23 has started beginning Decmeber 13th. One of the many games scheduled for the opening day that caught attention was the one between Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. The game was played at the iconic Eden Gardens.

Porel pulls off an unexpected

A fantastic moment of fielding happened on Day 1 of the match between Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Abishek Porel, a wicketkeeper-batter, accomplished a fantastic fielding effort. When all-rounder Shivam Mavi faced Pritam Chakraborty in the 54th over of the game, this incident took place. Mavi attempted to pull over his shoulders when the bowler delivered a short ball on the fifth ball of the 54th over.

The ball was flying towards the leg-side for the four, but Mavi could only manage an edge. Abishek Porel flew to the left in between, diving all the way to the ground to capture the ball. After which, Porel pulled off a significant catch that drew everyone’s attention and also compared him to the famous Proteas batsman Jonty Rhodes.

Bengal won the match by six wickets

Speaking of the game, Uttar Pradesh led by 151 runs after Stumps on Day 2. Ishan Porel’s five-wicket haul in the first inning helped Bengal, who had won the toss and chosen to bowl first, bowl brilliantly. In 63.5 overs, UP was bowled out for 198/10 runs. Bengal was then dismissed with the score at 169/10 after 43.3 overs. Following this, Uttar Pradesh kept up their control of the middle, and managed to score 227 runs in their second innings. However, Bengal then easily chased their target of 257 and won the match by 6 wickets.
