Sarfaraz Khan: Known for his big hitting in IPL and domestic cricket, Sarfaraz Khan, recently tied the knot with a girl from the Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir. The wedding ceremony took place on Sunday and came as a surprise to many since there were no prior media reports or rumours about the event. Soon enough, several videos became viral all over social media. Sarfaraz represents Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy and Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Wishes pour in for Sarafaraz Khan
According to a report, Romana and Sarfaraz’s initial encounter took place in Delhi. Romana, a BSc student, had the opportunity to meet Sarfaraz through his cousin, who happened to be her former classmate. The two got acquainted during a cricket match they attended together. Surprisingly, after this first meeting, Sarfaraz swiftly made the decision to marry Romana.
Following their meeting, Sarfaraz’s cousin took the initiative to approach Sarfaraz’s family with a proposal for marriage. Fortunately, both families were in agreement, and they proceeded with the wedding plans. Expressing gratitude, Sarfaraz wrote, “Alhamdulillah married.” Following his announcement, warm regards and heartfelt wishes poured in from his teammates, former colleagues, and other members of the cricket fraternity. Among those congratulating him on his special day were notable names like Chris Gayle, Suryakumar Yadav, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Khaleel Ahmed, Umran Malik, Sikandar Raza, Mandeep Singh, and former India off-spinner Ramesh Powar, along with several others.

Sarfaraz Khan’s impressive records
Sarfaraz Khan is currently experiencing a remarkable phase in his first-class cricket career. Having played 37 first-class matches, he has amassed an impressive total of 3505 runs. His outstanding batting average of 79.65 and 13 centuries speak volumes about his prowess on the field. Notably, his highest score in domestic games is an exceptional 301*.
In the past three Ranji Trophy seasons, Sarfaraz Khan has displayed a remarkable performance, amassing a total of 2566 runs. Notably, he scored 928 runs in the 2019/20 season, followed by an impressive 982 runs in the 2022-23 season, and 656 runs in the 2022-23 season. These sensational seasons culminated in a career First Class average of 79.65 for Sarfaraz, making him the best among Indian batters and second only to Don Bradman (with a minimum of 50 innings) in 37 appearances.
