The second Test between India and Australia in Chennai will mark the presence of crowd as the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA).

“We haven’t received any confirmation mail from the BCCI. But looks like we will have 50 per cent crowd for the second Test. The BCCI’s CEO (interim CEO Hemang Amin) is coming tomorrow. After that, we might get a confirmation. Press is likely to be allowed for both Tests,” TNCA secretary RS Ramasaamy as quoted saying by The Indian Express.

Cricket has returned to India after almost a year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Chepauk will host the first two Tests of the four-match series commencing this Friday.

The Tamil Nadu cricket association has allowed audience capicity of around 17,000 instead of 3500 for the second Test match.

“We will start the process of issuing tickets only after the BCCI confirmation,” he said.
