CSK vs PBKS IPL 2023: Ruturaj Gaikwad has been a crucial player for Chennai Super Kings this whole season. His ability to have big hits and churn out quick runs has made him a reliant opener for the team. In today’s clash against PBKS at Chepauk Stadium, he once again showed why he is a budding star. During the powerplay, he hit a huge 96m six straight into the stands, the video of which is now going viral all over social media.
Ruturaj Gaikwad gets grooving
MS Dhoni-led CSK won the toss and opted to bat first in the crucial match. By the end of four overs, CSK had scored 32 runs without losing any wickets. The home team had gotten the start exactly they were looking for. Meanwhile, Rahul Chahar came to bowl the fourth over of the innings. As the powerplay was underway, it was expected that this over will fetch many runs as well.
The first four balls brought two runs and the momentum was looking to be on PBKS’s side. However, just on the next ball, which came fuller length, Gaikwad danced down the crease and lofted it straight above the bowler’s head, sailing directly in the stands. The ball went a bit too high in the sky, however, it landed safely in the stands. However, his innings was short lived as he was stumped out for a score of 37 runs in 31 balls.
