DCW sends notice to Delhi Police on threats to Virat Kohli’s daughter online

After the defeat of Team India in the India-Pakistan cricket match, the daughter of captain Virat Kohli received online threats, regarding which the Delhi Women’s Commission has issued a notice to the Delhi Police. Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal wrote on Twitter that the way the 9-month-old girl was threatened is “very shameful”. We have requested Delhi Police to share the information related to the investigation in this case. Swati has tweeted that the way Virat Kohli’s 9-month-old daughter was threatened on Twitter is very shameful. This team has made us proud thousands of times, why this silliness in defeat? I have issued notice to Delhi Police, all those who threatened 9 months old girl should be arrested.

The chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women has also shared the copy of the notice. It states that if any accused has not been arrested, steps taken by Delhi Police to arrest the accused. The police has been asked to give information in this regard by November 8.

In the second match of the World Cup, Pakistan defeated India by ten wickets to deny them their sixth consecutive win in the World Cup. If seen, this match was in favor of Pakistan from the very beginning.
