Deepak Chahar, star Indian all-rounder, now has visited Rishikesh to take a spiritual vacation as former India captain Virat Kohli did. On Monday, the Indian bowler uploaded a photo of himself having a swim in the holy Ganga on his Instagram account.

Alongside his wife Jaya Bhardwaj, he can be seen doing yoga and engaging in warm-up exercises in the video that Chahar posted. The 30-year-old was also spotted doing workout on the beach alongside. The couple also organised a pooja near the ghat. Taking to Instagram, Deepak uploaded the video along with the caption, “Sometimes you should stop and reset yourself and go back to your basics. #oldschool #oldtimes #basic #nature #roaring #again #soon.”
Former India skipper and star batter Virat Kohli too visited Rishikesh just a few days back with his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika. Deepak Chahar’s career, in particular, has recently been hampered by repeated injuries. During India’s T20I series against the West Indies in February 2022, he sustained a quadriceps injury. Further delaying his return, he suffered a back injury while receiving treatment at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Due to many injuries, the right-arm bowler was forced to sit out several important games, including the full season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022. He made his long-awaited comeback in the ODI series against Zimbabwe in August 2022, but he twisted his ankle in October and hasn’t played for Team India since.
It has been challenging for him to regain a position in the Men in Blue side due to his injury problems and the growth of players like Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik. He plans to perform well in the upcoming IPL season in an effort to get over his setback.
