Nitish Kumar Reddy’s Father was enamoured during his meeting with the cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar. This comes after Nitish’s historic performance during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy match. The video of them meeting has caught the attention of cricket fans worldwide with their interaction garnering lakhs of views.

After the 21-year-old’s historic performance in the ongoing Ind vs Aus series, Reddy has made his name known among cricket fans. Following his performance, the young cricketer has garnered praise from multiple cricket legends with Gavaskar also calling it ‘one of the greatest century in Indian cricket history.’ In a recent video which has caught the interaction of the internet, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s father can be seen meeting Sunil Gavaskar at MCG. In what seems to be their first interaction, the father of the 21 year old gets on both knees to touch Gavaskar’s feet. He is followed by other members of his family who also show their respect to the legend. In the video Gavaskar also gives a warm hug to Reddy’s father.

Despite entering the field at number 8, Reddy made sure to let his talent known. After India was down 221 runs for 7 wickets the young all rounder made sure to not let his team down. After entering the field, he unloaded a barrage of runs and scored his maiden Test century. This not only put him on everyone’s radar but also kept Team India at a relatively healthier position in the game. He also tied Michael Vaughan and Chris Gayle’s record for the most number of sixes by a visiting player by hitting eight balls out of the boundary line.
