A fan's tweet from March 21, 2015, using the handle 2josepolanco10 is currently trending online. Call it a coincidence or a dead-on prediction, but Messi will be playing for Argentina versus France in the championship game.

The tweet reads, “December 18, 2022. 34 year old Leo Messi will win the World Cup and become the greatest player of all times. Check back with me in 7 years.” More than 72,000 people have liked and retweeted the fan's tweet, which has received over 17,000 retweets.
