FIFA World Cup 2022 Winner: The Fifa World Cup final on Sunday night was probably one of the most thrilling games the competition has ever seen, with Argentina under Messi’s captaincy defeating France to win the trophy for the first time since 1986 and give the football star his first taste of World Cup triumph.
Messi hugs and consoles Mbappe
Lionel Messi converted a penalty in the 22nd minute to give his team a lead they would later double thanks to an assist from Angle DiMaria. The game took many unexpected turns at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. Messi was later awarded with the golden ball prize and Mbappe was rewarded with golden boots for scoring most goals in the tournament i.e. eight.
In a recent video, Messi is seen hugging and comforting Mbappé in a touching exchange with the young star. Messi can be seen hugging a dejected-looking Mbappé and giving him a comforting back rub. In the video, which Fifa captioned “Messi ❤️Mbappé,” Lionel Scaloni, the manager of Argentina, is also seen shaking hands with Mbappê. One must note that both of them are teammates at Qatar-Owned Paris St.-Germain.

In a shocking turn of events, French star Kylian Mbappé scored two goals back-to-back in the span of 60 seconds to tie the score and reverse what had appeared to be a convincing victory for Argentina. Despite the fact that Argentina finally prevailed after a penalty shootout, the 23-year-old received the prestigious Golden Boot award for the competition’s top player.
