Football Viral Video: Following a controversial ending to the Sergipe vs. Botafogo Brazilian Cup clash, riot police had to intervene to protect the referee from angry players. The match, which was part of Brazilian football's fourth division tournament, saw Sergipe in the lead until the 90th minute, when nine minutes of stoppage time were added. Botafogo was awarded three controversial corners during this time, and they eventually scored an equalizer in the additional 30 seconds. The incident led to violence.

Players and Club President attacks referee

As per the Brazilian Cup's rules, in case of a draw, the away side advances to the next round, resulting in Sergipe's elimination. In response, the President of Sergipe, Ernan Sena, attacked referee Braulio da Silva with the corner flag, prompting the intervention of riot police.

Sergipe Keeper Dida said, "CBF, you are a disgrace. What he did here today was naughty!" while talking to Sportv. Players were also seen attacking Botafogo's coach Luis Castro." The videos from the clash went viral soon on social media.

Players, fans of Sergipe, and referees got into a massive fight, which led to the intervention of police equipped with riot shields. In a surprising turn of events, the president of the fourth-tier club, Ernan Sena, also entered the ground, pursuing the referees until he was struck by one of the linesmen's offside flags.
