This came in the aftermath of India’s top-order batsmen struggling to score runs and falling to the exceptional performance of Pakistan’s premium fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, during an Asia Cup 2023 match in Sri Lanka’s Pallekele.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made headlines due to their batting struggles against the skilful Shaheen Afridi, drawing praise for Afridi’s remarkable performance.
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also joined in the applause, expressing his excitement on Twitter platform ‘X’ to commend the talented left-arm pacer. He earlier made a tweet in which he wrote just “SHAHEEN” possibly to praise the bowler. However, later on, he reposted it along with “THEY CANNOT PLAY HIM.”
