Glen Mcgrath Stern Advice To Jasprit Bumrah; Hails Him As The Biggest Hope For India In ODI World Cup 2023; Read Here

ODI World Cup 2023
Glen McGrath has praised Jasprit Bumrah and stated him as the X-Factor for India in ODI World Cup 2023 but has also shown some worry for him.

ODI World Cup 2023: We all know how great of a bowler Jasprit Bumrah is and how dependent the Indian bowling lineup is on him. But when a pace legend like Glen McGrath praises the bowler, we realize what a gem we have on our hands.

The legendary pacer from Australia revealed that he enjoys Bumrah and likes to watch him play. He also hailed him as one of the best bowlers of the current generation and talked about his impact.

But the Australian legend also showcased his worry over his action and has advised him of a tough decision so that he can prolong his career. He also thinks that Bumrah will be important in India’s World Cup 2023 journey.

The Ultimatum

Glenn McGrath talked about how impactful the Gujarat-born pacer has been for India. He stated that the wickets Bumrah has taken, his stats, his pace, and his bowling have made him a big fan of the bowler.

But the Australian leading medium pace wicket taker also showed worry over his action and no off-season for a medium pacer in today’s cricket. He stated that Bumrah’s actions put a lot of stress on his body.

He further commented that with IPL and international cricket, there is no off-season for medium pacers. And a player like Bumrah needs it. So, in the end, the Indian pacer has to decide the ultimate choice.

The choice to drop out from one of the formats. It can be either one of the three. He stated that Jasprit has to think about it in the future because he is a unique bowler, and it will be tough for him. And without him, India might struggle in ODI World Cup 2023.

Impressed With The Current Bowling Pool

The Australia legend was impressed with Bumrah and the current pool of Indian medium pacers. He stated that the new pool of Indian seam bowlers has been amazing and makes him hopeful.

India is probably the toughest place to be a fast bowler. Pitches are not that juicy here. But now young (seam) bowlers are coming from India, whom probably we haven’t seen before. It’s because fast bowling here wasn’t as focused as it is now. If you succeed here, you can succeed anywhere in the world as a fast bowler.”
