Hardik Pandya: Skipper in shock ! Watch his bemused reaction on Arshdeep Singh’s 4th no ball that saved batsman, watch video

Hardik Pandya: Arshdeep Singh, a top player for Team India, had a bad day during the second T20I of the series against Sri Lanka. He let up five no-balls in only two overs, recording numbers of 0/37. Hardik Pandya, the captain, immediately withdrew left-arm bowler Arshdeep from the attack after he delivered a hat-trick of no balls in his first over of the innings, allowing a six and a four off the free hit. However, he called him back for the second to last over of the innings.

Arshdeep Singh bowls a hat-trick of no balls

However, Arshdeep’s worries about crossing the line persisted as the bowler’s attempt to bowl out Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka ended in failure. It was soon discovered that Arshdeep had overstepped; the bowler gave up 18 runs in the over, and Pandya was obviously unhappy with Arshdeep’s constant failures on the line. Shanaka hammered the delivery from Arshdeep towards the long-off boundary, with Suryakumar Yadav collecting a clean catch.

Hardik couldn’t help but show his annoyance after the umpires confirmed that Arshdeep had bowled a no ball following Dasun Shanaka’s dismissal while covering his face.

After Arshdeep’s sixth no-ball of the game, Hardik approached the young pacer to speak with him and ease his anxiety.

Sri Lanka levels the series by 1-1

India ultimately lost the game by 16 runs after giving up a massive total of 206/6 in 20 overs. India came close to sealing an unbelievable victory despite being left reeling at 57/5 in the run-chase as Axar Patel (65) and Suryakumar Yadav (51) combined to score 91 runs for the sixth wicket. Axar’s dismissal in the last over, however, effectively ended India’s chances of winning the match as Sri Lanka won the game and evened the series.

In Rajkot, the series’ third and final game will be held. Following the T20I series, there will be a three-match ODI series featuring prominent players like KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma.
