The Indian team is trying new ways to deal with the bounce and speed on Australian pitches. BCCI has posted a video on Monday, in which Ravichandran Ashwin is training batsman Lokesh Rahul with tennis ball with the help of tennis racket.
Rahul, who captained Kings XI Punjab in the IPL, was seen playing bridge shots on the balls coming over his body.
The BCCI tweeted, 'How is it for innovation? Ashwin took the tennis racket and Rahul is facing volleys with his bat.
The extra bounce and speed in pitches on the Australian tour would be a matter of concern for Indian players. Even before this, tennis balls have been seen in practice sessions in Australia by subcontinent teams.
