World Cup 2023: After continuous delays, it looks like we will finally get the schedule for the 2023 World Cup. The tentative date and a rough draft of World Cup 2023 were sent to ICC by BCCI a few weeks back.
But both boards are still finalizing the nitty gritty details. Earlier, it was reported that Pakistan’s denial to play in set venues was holding the announcement. But now it looks like PCB and BCCI have sorted that out, and we can finally get on to the next phase.
World Cup 2023 Date Announcement
With just three months left to the World Cup, it is high time that we get the schedule announcement. Usually, the schedule gets announced even before that, but it has been delayed this time. The latest report has suggested that ICC will announce the schedule on June 27.
ICC has shared an invite for a major event in Mumbai which will include a ‘key announcement’ regarding World Cup. The event will be hosted by ICC and BCCI and will be a huge responsibility for the Indian cricket board.

Battle of the best
The tentative schedule for World Cup 2023 has been decided from October 5 to November 19. The eight teams out of 10 have been decided, and two will be qualified from the ongoing qualifiers. Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Zimbabwe are looking like the best three teams from the qualifiers.
India has a jam-packed schedule before World Cup. As they will travel to West Indies for a series next month, followed by a 3-match T20 series against Ireland. The players will take part in Asia Cup 2023 after that and will finish the World Cup preparation with a 3-match ODI series against Australia.
