Iga Swiatek vs Ons Jabeur US Open 2022: Iga Swiatek defeated Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur at Arthur Ashe Stadium to win the final of US Open 2022. She bag her maiden US Open title and third grand slam on Saturday. The world number one women player Iga Swiatek won the first set by 6-2. The polish star Iga Swiatek started dominating the match from the start and it was too late for Tunisian player to bounce back. Tunisian player failed to give her some real challenge in the match. Swiatek was completely dominating the match from the start. However, Ons Jabeur made a good comeback and she took Iga Swiatek to the tiebreaker.
Iga Swiatek was dominant
Iga Swiatek won the set in the end by 7-5. Earlier, the polish star won the semi-final by 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 against Aryna Sabalenka. Jabuer had thrashed France’s Caroline Garcia by 6-1, 6-3. She played brilliantly in the semi – final but unfortunately she could not make it to the US Open title.
The match started with the serve of Iga Swiatek. After the first serve, Iga Swiatek won the first game with dominancy. Iga Swiatek was leading 3-0 in the first set and she had been dominant throughout the first set of the finals. Jabeur made a comeback and won a game on her serve. She got a trail of 1-3 against the polish star.
