Ind vs Afg Asia Cup 2022: Every Indian cricket lover was waiting for this day for two years when King Kohli would return to his old form.  Virat Kohli had not played any great innings for more than 1,000 days.  For this, the trollers also trolled him and many people also raised questions about his continuation on the team.  Kohli answered these questions with his brilliant innings in the match played against Afghanistan on Thursday.  In the last match of the Asia Cup, Kohli assured everyone that he is back in form and is all set to show a great game in the World Cup.

Kohli equals the tally of Ricky Ponting

He played an unbeaten knock in the match and scored his first hundred since November 2019 and 71st overall off just 61 balls. Former Indian Captain now equals Ricky Ponting’s tally of international centuries. He is now only behind Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli is the only Indian batsman, who scored a hundred in a T20 international.

Kohli and KL Rahul made the partnership of 119 off 76 balls for the opening wicket. Kohli started smashing with the field and bowlers towards the end of the innings. This knock is enough to indicate that he is back to his best. Rahul has also scored a brilliant inning of 62 off 41 balls. Kohli slammed the bowler for a maximum over and It was so entertaining to watch Kohli in this ‘Run Machine’ avatar.

An elderly seen bowing down to Kohli

A special moment was also captured on the video where an elderly man was seen bowing down to Kohli even as he celebrated his century. It was the best moment. We have seen vintage Kohli on display as he stepped out to the spinners and even played a rare sweep shot. The Run Machine got lucky on his way as he was dropped in the deep off Mohammed Nabi in the eighth over. Kohli took India to a massive total and It was raining boundaries in the last five overs. As part of his celebration, he removed his helmet, hugged Rishabh Pant, and kissed his necklace.
