Starc spits fire once again

Bowling the first over of the match, Mitchell Starc firstly dismissed Shubman Gill just on the third ball of the match. However, skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli then continued to lead the innings and a good score appeared on cards until Starc came to bowl the fifth over. After the first three balls went dot, Rohit tried to assault the bowler but he got edged instead on the fourth ball. Steve Smith caught the ball with ease.

Suryakumar Yadav, who was batting at the fourth position, suffered a similar fate as the previous match, getting out for a duck against Australia’s Mitchell Starc. Suryakumar attempted a drive across the line, only to be trapped leg before. Starc’s delivery swung sharply, hitting the middle-and-leg stump line, leaving Suryakumar with no chance to survive. This was a replay of the first ODI held in Mumbai on Friday, where Starc had removed Suryakumar in the first ball itself.
