IND vs AUS: The ongoing first Test match between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the VCA Stadium witnessed a memorable and humorous moment, all thanks to a spectator who was present in the stands.

Man holds amusing placard for Virat Kohli

During Day 2 of the match, the spectator was seen holding up a placard that read “I love Virat Kohli more than my wife”. The humour of the situation was amplified by the fact that the fan’s wife was standing right next to him, supporting the Indian cricket team with equal zeal and enthusiasm.

The incident was captured on camera and widely shared on the popular micro-blogging site Twitter by prominent Australian cricket journalist Adam Collins. It received widespread attention and laughter, further highlighting the passionate support of Indian cricket fans.

This is not the first time that fans have gone to great lengths to express their admiration for the Indian cricket team. In January 2023, another fan had gone viral for expressing his joy at Virat Kohli scoring his 74th century on his wedding day, through a placard dedicated to the Indian batting star.
