In the second innings, KL Rahul was dismissed at a score of just one run, garnering criticism as his poor form continued. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored quick-fiery 31 runs off 20 balls. Meanwhile, Virat also became the fastest player to score 25,000 international runs but was stumped soon.
Shreyas Iyer came in after Virat but he was dismissed after scoring just 10 runs. However, Srikar Bharat then played a good cameo, scoring 23 off 22 balls. He also smashed four boundaries and a six in his knock.
Earlier, in the first innings Aussies scored 263 runs with Khawaja scoring 81 runs. Shami took four wickets while Ashwin and Jadeja picked up three wickets each.
