IND vs AUS: Indian players leave for dugout, umpire calls them back even after Aussies get all out, watch the twist in tale here

IND vs AUS

IND vs AUS: On Friday, February 17th, 2023, the second Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2022-23 saw India taking on Australia in Delhi. The match started with Pat Cummins, the Australian captain, winning the toss and opting to bat first. Unlike the first Test, where India had the upper hand from the beginning, Australia made a decent start with Usman Khawaja and David Warner stitching a 50-run opening partnership. However, a twist in the tale happened. When India bowled out Australia, players left for dugout but were called back by umpires on the field.

However, India struck back quickly, with Mohammed Shami dismissing Warner, caught behind the wicket. R Ashwin and Shami continued to pick up wickets in quick succession, with Ashwin removing Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, while Shami sent Travis Head back to the pavilion. The Indian bowlers looked in top form, and Ravindra Jadeja also joined in with the dismissal of Usman Khawaja, courtesy of a spectacular catch by KL Rahul.

Despite the wickets falling at the other end, Peter Handscomb stood firm and provided some resistance to the Indian bowlers. However, Jadeja eventually ended his heroics by getting him caught at covers. The Indian players started to leave the field to prepare for their batting innings, but a twist in the tale occurred when the third umpire deemed that Jadeja had overstepped, and the decision was overturned, causing the players to return to the field.
