IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023

IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023: After being put in to bat by India, Australia put up a colossal total of 469 runs on the scoreboard. Unfortunately, India's captain and key batsman, Rohit Sharma, encountered yet another disappointing performance, failing to make a significant impact. Rohit Sharma fell victim to the exceptional skills of Pat Cummins, departing after scoring 15 runs off 26 deliveries, including two boundaries. Thus, netizens instantly took to social media and criticised him for his poor performance.

Rohit Sharma dismissed cheaply

Rohit Sharma carried immense expectations in this crucial match. At the time of his dismissal, India's score stood at 30-1 in 6 overs, leaving them with a substantial deficit of 439 runs, a considerable margin in contemporary cricket. Considering the circumstances, it is plausible that Rohit Sharma could have benefited from a break following the conclusion of the IPL 2023. His lack of energy on the field was evident while the bowlers were being hit around the park.

A big knock was expected considering the mammoth score posted by Australia in their first innings, however, things did not go as expected for the Indian team and fans. Rohit scored 15 off 26 balls while Shubman Gill, who appeared to be in good form, followed him soon as he was too dismissed just three balls later.
