IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023: Virat Kohli, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, arrived at the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against Australia with a remarkable batting form, having scored consecutive centuries in the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, Kohli's struggle to make a significant impact persisted as he suffered an early dismissal on Day 2 of the WTC Final at the Oval in London on Thursday. Mitchell Starc claimed his wicket, dismissing him for a mere 14 runs. However, when pictures of him having food in the dressing room went viral, netizens took to social media and trolled him from all sides.
At the close of the second day's play, India found themselves at 151 for 5, still trailing by 119 runs from the follow-on mark, following Australia's first-innings total of 469. After Virat Kohli's dismissal, he faced severe trolling on social media in an unfortunate turn of events. Images capturing him indulging in food in the Indian dressing room soon after his exit from the game went viral on various social media platforms, attracting significant attention and criticism.
Netizens trolled him, while some even called out him for not being serious in such a tense situation. The memes instantly went viral as a big knock was expected and needed from Virat Kohli because of the mammoth score posted by Australia in the first innings. In a conversation with the Star Sports Network following the conclusion of the second day's play, former Indian opening batsman Sunil Gavaskar expressed his opinion that Virat Kohli could have handled the seemingly unplayable delivery by opting to play it off the back foot.

This is India's second appearance in the WTC Final, having earlier lost the mace to New Zealand in 2021. However, Aussie's bowling attack has kept the game under their control so far. A lot will rely on the shoulders of Ajinkya Rahane and KS Bharat in ensuring that India manages to go past the follow-on.
