IND vs BAN: Gabbar Shikhar Dhawan takes catch with KNEES, Washington Sundar’s hilarious reaction has left fans in splits

IND vs BAN: When Shakib Al Hasan was caught and dismissed in Bangladesh’s innings’ 17th over by Shikhar Dhawan, it was a sight to behold. When Bangladesh decided to bat first after winning the toss, they were in trouble due to the early loss of wickets and needed Shakib to perform, but the left-handed batsman struggled against other pacers and was rattled by Umran Malik’s quickness.

Washington Sundar’s reaction goes viral

He attempted to speed up the inning but ultimately hit it high in the air due to Washington Sundar’s spin. The ball slipped through Dhawan’s fingers even though he was the one underneath it.Dhawan continued to catch the ball with his knees while Washington watched from the ground. The fielder lost control of the ball as it slipped off his hands and became lodged between his knees. On a cricket field, it was an unusual catch that had never been witnessed before.

Bangladesh had previously won the toss and askeed India to bowl first. But they had a disastrous start, losing their starters quickly as Mohammed Siraj kept putting them to the test with his swing bowling. Umran Malik struck Shanto with a screaming delivery, and Washington Sundar took over to pick up three wickets, including those of reliable Mushfiqur Rahim and danger man Shakib Al Hasan. Mahmudullah was Bangladesh’s main hope at the time, but they had lost 6 wickets inside of 70 runs.

Bangladesh leads the series by 1-0

However, Bangladesh put on a strong fight as they ended their innings with 271 runs with the loss of 8 wickets. In the series, Bangladesh has a 1-0 lead. Last Sunday, they defeated India in a hard-fought match, and they will be hoping to win the second ODI. Not to mention that Indian captain Rohit Sharma had his thumb scanned after suffering an injury at the start of the game.
