IND vs BAN: Jaydev Unadkat test recall makes his wife emotional, posts endearing photos Rinny Kantaria, the wife of Jaydev Unadkat, recently shared a few endearing images of her husband. Unadkat will play in the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh after a 12-year absence from the national team. Mohammed Shami was replaced on the team by Unadkat. Prior to the ODI series against the Bangla Tigers, Shami sustained an injury. He will now miss the entire Test series after missing the three 50-over games.

Once again leading his team to victory

In Centurion, the left-arm pacer faced South Africa in his first Test match. In his first international appearance, he failed to record a wicket as India fell short by an innings and 25 runs. Unadkat has been a legend on the domestic circuit despite having few opportunities to compete on the international stage. In 96 games, he has taken 353 wickets. The seamer had a historically successful Ranji Trophy season in 2019–20, taking 67 wickets and assisting Saurashtra in winning their first championship. In the recently finished Vijay Hazare Trophy, he was also in outstanding form, taking 19 wickets and once again leading his team to victory.

Jaydev Unadkat expressed his gratitude

Unadkat shared a touching message on Twitter after being called back to the Test team. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who had stood by him and encouraged him during his trying times. He posted on Twitter as follows,"Okay, looks like its real! This one’s for all those who have kept believing & supporting me.. I am grateful #267 @BCCI."
